SUBURBAN EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY
SUBURBAN EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY is the parent body of St. Xavier’s Institution. It was founded in the year 1980. It is a non-profit making organization registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961. The society comprises of some common and local people who have great passion for education and whose aim is to make the institution reach the peak of glory and bring about an all-round development of the students through the precious guidance of the staff members.
Main aim of the Society is to impart holistic education to the students.
Suburban Educational Society has several other social activities. The Society not only cares for its students and staff but also thinks itself responsible for the development of the society as a whole. Suburban Educational Society provides aid to the students of other schools of the locality. The Society helps those students from economically challenged families providing them text books & exercise books. Society extends similar help to the students who pursue different courses in colleges, universities & technical colleges. This way Suburban Educational Society tries to be a useful partner to prosperity of the students from economically challenged families of the locality.
The Society also looks after those who socially need love and care. The Kitchen, Storeroom and Dining Hall of Gobindo Kumar Home, Panihati have been thus re-built with this in mind for the destitute girls.
The Society provides medical aid to the needy people of the locality. The Society has renovated Bandhab Pathagar, Panihati, Laboratory of K.C. Vidyayatan and has provided benches to Primary School, Panihati. The Society also aids students affected with natural calamities through Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Ballyganj, Kolkata.
The school admits children of all castes, creed and religion and imparts integrated Education to them through the medium of English.
